How to Secure your Facebook account Just in few Steps
Two-factor authentication is a security feature that helps protect your Facebook account in addition to your password. If you set up two-factor authentication, you have to enter a special login code or confirm your login attempt every time someone tries to access Facebook from a browser or mobile device called We do not recognize. When someone tries to log in from a browser or mobile device, you can receive alerts.

To turn on or manage two-factor authentication:

Tap .
Scroll down and tap Settings.
Scroll down and tap Security and Login.
Scroll down and tap Use two-factor authentication. You may be asked to enter your password at this point.
Tap Use Authentication Application or Use Text Message (SMS).
When you set up two-factor authentication on Facebook, you will be asked to choose one of two security methods:

Code login with a third party authentication app.
Text message (SMS) code from your mobile phone.
To use two-factor authentication you must set up at least one of these. Once you've added a text message (SMS) code or a third-party authentication app to your account, you'll also be able to set some alternative methods below:

Approving your login attempt with a device we identify.
Using your recovery code.
Tapping your Security Key on a compatible device.
Other Useful Resources

If you have not saved a used browser or mobile device, you will be asked to do so when you turn on two-factor authentication. When you log in again, you will not need to enter a security code. If you are using a public computer, do not click Save this browser, which others can access (eg: a library computer).
We need to be able to remember your computer and browser information so that we can recognize it the next time you log in. Some browser features block this. If you have turned on private browsing or have set your browser to clear your browser every time you turn off your history, you may have to enter a code each time you log in.
To set up text message (SMS) two-factor authentication, you can either use a mobile number that has already been added to your account or add a new number. Learn more about how Facebook uses paired mobile numbers for two-factor authentication.
